Labeling Hezbollah as terrorist targeting Lebanon’s peace

TEHRAN, Mar. 03 (MNA) – Iranian Deputy FM Amir-Abdollahian condemned the act of Saudi-led council of six Arab countries of the Persian Gulf in labeling Hezbollah as a terrorist party.

"Labeling the most effective resistant movement of the region Hezbollah, as terrorist is neglecting the crimes committed by the Zionist regime and it is a serious mistake against peace and security in the region, said Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Thursday.

His remarks came after the Wednesday statement of the Saudi-dominated council of the Arab states of the Persian Gulf which declared implementing the terrorist designation for Lebanese resistant group Hezbollah.

The Iranian diplomat described the decision in favor of Israeli regime and against the good of the Lebanese and the whole region.

"Willingly or unwillingly, those who label Hezbollah as terrorist target the unity and security of Lebanon," reiterated Amir-Abdollahian.

He said that Iranians are proud of Hezbollah as the pioneer of war on terrorism and resistance against the Zionist regime.

The national unity, security and stability of Lebanon, along with support for solidarity of all Lebanese groups, are the principal policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran, underlined the senior diplomat.
